Your melody must have…

- An original title and the name of the troubadour or trobairitz (the trobairitz was the female troubadour, the first female composer of secular music in the Western tradition).
- A 3/4 time signature.

- Eight bars.

- A rhythm based on one of these metrical feet: trochee (long - short) or iamb (short - long).
- A melody using only the notes of the medieval Dorian mode: re, mi, fa, sol, la, si, do’, re’.

- It must start and finish in re.
