Level III: Master of polyphony
You are a composer of the Nothe Dame School in Paris, just like Magister Leoninus and Perotinus. Create a music piece using the new polyphonic techniques and following the requirements below:
Your music piece must have:
- An original title and a name of the composer.
- Ten bars.
- A 6/8 time signature.
- Instrument: two human voices.
- Two different voices using one of these forms: parallel organum, melismatic organum or discantus.
- It must start and finish in re.
- Use the notes of the medieval Dorian mode: re, mi, fa, sol, la, si, do’, re’.
- Add lyrics to your melody. It has to be religious and written in Latin. How to add lyrics in MuseScore.
